Wilier 0 SLR – Ultra-light carbon

The Wilier 0 SLR is one of the most advanced road racing frames developed by the Italian brand. Designed for demanding riders and competitive cyclists, it combines ultra-light weight, full cable integration and high-level performance.

As the first ultra-light racing frame from Wilier designed for disc brakes with fully integrated cables, the Wilier 0 SLR represents a major step forward in modern road bike design. Every detail has been engineered to deliver a bike that is both lightweight and extremely efficient, while maintaining excellent stability at high speeds.

With a frame weighing just 780 g in size M, the Wilier 0 SLR stands among the lightest frames in its category while maintaining the stiffness and responsiveness required for competitive riding.

An ultra-light carbon frame built for performance

The defining characteristic of the Wilier 0 SLR is its exceptional lightness. The frame is built using HUS MOD carbon monocoque combined with Crystal Liquid Polymer technology, allowing Wilier engineers to achieve an optimal balance between strength, stiffness and low weight.

The frame weighs only 780 g, while the fork weighs 340 g. In high-end configurations, a complete bike can reach a total weight of around 6.5 kg.

This lightweight construction makes the Wilier 0 SLR particularly effective for:

• long climbs

• mountain routes

• gran fondos and demanding sportives

Full cable integration

One of the most distinctive features of the Wilier 0 SLR is its complete cable integration, improving both the aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency of the bike.

As early as 2016, Wilier pioneered this concept with the Wilier Cento10AIR, one of the first bikes to integrate cables inside a monocoque handlebar.

With the Wilier 0 SLR, this integration has been further refined thanks to several specially designed components:

• the Wilier 0 integrated carbon handlebar

• high-stiffness composite spacers

• a redesigned head tube section

The result is a fully integrated cockpit that enhances the bike’s clean lines while improving aerodynamic performance.

Easy-Fit spacers

The spacers positioned between the frame’s headset and the handlebar are made from high-stiffness composite material and feature a dedicated cavity for internal cable routing.

Their two-piece design allows quick installation or removal without interfering with the cables running between the handlebar and the frame, making cockpit adjustments easier.

Stiffness-to-Weight performance

In carbon frame design, the STW ratio (Stiffness-to-Weight) is a key performance indicator. It measures the relationship between the frame’s stiffness and its weight.

With the Wilier 0 SLR, engineers achieved an excellent STW ratio by maintaining high rigidity while keeping the frame extremely light. The result is a frame that offers efficient power transfer and precise handling, without compromising on weight.

Dedicated carbon seatpost

The Wilier 0 SLR features a dedicated monocoque carbon seatpost, developed exclusively for this model.

Its sleek design is inspired by the truncated aerodynamic profiles used on the Wilier Filante SLR.

The seatpost is available in two geometries:

• 0 mm offset

• 15 mm offset

The saddle is secured using a Ritchey 1-Bolt system, while the seatpost itself is fixed to the frame using an internal expander located in the top tube, contributing to the bike’s clean design and aerodynamic efficiency.

Asymmetric frame design

To optimize power transfer to the rear wheel, the rear triangle of the Wilier 0 SLR features an asymmetric design.

The left chainstay is slightly inclined upward compared to the right one to compensate for the forces generated by the drivetrain during pedaling. This design improves:

• lateral stiffness

• pedaling efficiency

• overall stability

Mavic Speed Release thru-axles

The Wilier 0 SLR uses Mavic Speed Release thru-axles, allowing the wheel to be removed quickly without fully extracting the axle from the hub.

This system offers several advantages:

• faster wheel removal and installation

• time savings during race wheel changes

• reduced weight (approximately 85 g for the pair)

An integrated torque-control system also prevents excessive tightening forces that could damage the frame or fork.
